Introduction: The objective of this physics lab is to explore the fundamental principles of motion and its related concepts. Experiment 1: Understanding Position and Displacement Objective: To comprehend the concepts of position and displacement and learn how to measure and calculate them accurately.
Materials:Meter sticks,Motion sensor,Stopwatch
Procedure:Place the motion sensor at the starting point of the track.
Set up the track and mark regular intervals.
Record the initial position.
Release the object and record its position at various time intervals.
Calculate displacement and analyze the motion data.
Experiment 2: Investigating Velocity Objective: To study the relationship between distance, time, and velocity.
Materials:Ramp,Toy cars,Stopwatch
Procedure:Set up the ramp at an inclined angle.
Release the toy car from the top of the ramp.
Measure the time it takes for the car to reach the bottom.
Calculate the velocity of the car and analyze the factors affecting it.
Experiment 3: Exploring Acceleration Objective: To examine the concept of acceleration and its connection to force.
Materials:Dynamics carts,Pulleys,Hanging masses,Motion sensor
Procedure:Connect the dynamics carts with a pulley system.
Hang masses on one side to create a force.
Measure the acceleration of the carts using the motion sensor.
Analyze the relationship between force and acceleration.
Experiment 4: Newton's Laws of Motion Objective: To investigate Newton's three laws of motion through practical experiments.
Materials: Force sensors, Newtonian liquids, Various objects
Procedure: Use force sensors to measure the force exerted on different objects.
Experiment with Newtonian liquids to observe the effects of varying forces.
Apply Newton's laws to explain the observed phenomena.
